Dear Birth Parent
While we can’t promise we’ll do everything right, we can promise the following things:
Your baby will be loved more than you can imagine
Your baby will be surrounded by family that loves him/her: cousins, aunts, uncles, grandparents (and a great grandma!).
We will try the hardest, and will always strive to listen and to learn
We will show your baby the world
Your baby will have the most enviable library
Your baby will have every opportunity to explore the foods and sports and hobbies and passions that he/she is interested in. We can’t wait to see what interests will develop.
You will be remembered and appreciated, and we’ll do our best to preserve any cultural and heritage connections that are important to you, through community and travel
Your baby’s hopes and fears and favorite things will become our hopes and fears and favorite things
Your baby will have very loving parents to look to as a positive example of marriage and partnership and mutual respect
Your baby will have the best coach when it comes to sports, and the best tutor when it comes to school
Your baby will always have a place to go for vacation (or when they’re teenagers, a place to go to complain about their parents), with family (and friends that are like family) in Florida, Colorado, Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, Iowa, California, Texas, Washington, and New York.
Pat will tell the best dad jokes, and Rochelle will roll her eyes right along with your baby
Your baby will always have the best Halloween costume and get the most candy, but will have the healthiest teeth because their grandpa is a dentist.
Your baby will eventually be a big brother or sister, as we plan to raise at least 2 children
